 Abstract We have studied Bee Venom Therapy to treat Sequalae of Sprain, and obtained following results. 1. The treatment of sprain is using the effect of the affected part on Bee Venom Therapy. 2. For the treatment of sprain, it is often used the near acupuncture point of injury(近位取穴) or painful point to press(阿是穴). 3. Bee Venom Therapy is one of the powerful treatment, so we are using the sequalae of sprain in the case of not cured by Acupuncture, Cupping or another therapy. 4. Bee Venom injection is started a small quantity, and is increased slowly by degrees. 5. The immune response by Bee Venom Therapy is a sort of Allergy, and it is classified large delayed reaction. It is considered positive reaction. 6. We have selected Acupuncture Points from one to four by the degree of injury. 7. The period of treatment is some different from the degree of injury, but generally we have obtained good results to treat from 5 to 20 by Bee Venom Therapy.

 Abstract This study was undertaken to determine whether Juglandis Semen (JAS) extraction exerts protective effect against oxidant-induced inhibition of $\small{Na^+}$-pump activity in cerebral cortex. $\small{Na^+}$-pump activity was estimated by measuring ouabain-sensitive oxygen consumption. The oxygen consumption significantly inhibited by 1 mM t-butylhydroperoxide (tBHP), which was prevented by addition of 2% JAS extraction. The oxygen consumption was increased by an increase in $\small{Na^+}$ concentration from 5 to 100mM, $\small{K^+}$ concentration from 0.5 to 10 mM, and $\small{Mg^{++}}$ concentration from 0.2 to 5 mM. These changes in ion concentrations did not affect the inhibitory effct of tBHP and protective action of JAS on oxygen consumption. tBHP(1mM) produced a significant increase in lipid peroxidation in cerebral cortex, which was prevented by 2% JAS extraction. These result suggest that JAS exerts protective effect against tBHP-induced inhibition of $\small{Na^+}$-pump activity in the cerebral cortex, this effect may be due to by an antioxidant action

 Abstract It was the Study for more deep understanding about the Frozen shoulder by literature investigation. The following result were obtained. : 1. The reason of Frozen shoulder is inflamatory reaction, degeneration, continual fixing, injury, etc. 2. The symptom of Frozen shoulder is shoulder pain, night pain, limit of joint movement. 3. Frozen shoulder is classified primary and secondary types and in the oriental medicine, is classified six types by the three Yin&Yang channels of the hand 4. Jackin's exercise or codman's exercise is used for kinesiatrics. 5. $\small{Ky\check{o}njong}$(SI9), nosu(SI10), $\small{ch$(SI11) are in commonly used acupuncture point. 6. It is used to the Tongbihanseungbang, Small-intestine jeong kyuck in SA-AM Acupuncture. 7. It is used to the TrPs of subscapularis in MPS. 8. It is used to Frozen shoulder the Sin-kwan, Sahwajung, etc. in Dong-si Acupuncture. 9. It is used the I, HO or HN to Frozen shoulder treatment in Herbal Acupuncture. 10. Using the Electro-acupuncture, we select the point according to the channels. 11. Cupping or Moxibustion is commonly used with Acupuncture. 12. Commonly used recipes are Seokyungtang, Oyacksungisan, Banhakumchultang, etc.

 Abstract This study was designed to investigate the effects of Guizibokryungwhan Herbal-acupuncture on the intravascular coagulation. At first 36 mice were divided normal group(n=6) and experimental group(n=30). Normal group had no treatment and experimental group was induced intravascular coagulation by injected endotoxin 0.5mg/kg into the caudal vein. The experimental group was divided Sample-A(n=12), Sarnple- B(n=12) and control group(n=6). Control group was administrated normal saline. Sample-A was injected Guizibokryungwhan Herbal-acupuncture manufactured by extraction method and Sample-B was injected Guizibokryungwhan Herbal-acupuncture manufactured by water-alcohol method. Then Sample-A and Sample-B was injected high and low concentration. All treatments were done to Kwanwon acupuncture point once a day for 5 days s.c.. The results were following. 1. Compared with the control group, the platelet count was significantly increased in high-concentrated Sample-A and Sample-B group. 2. Compared with the control group, the concentration of fibrinogen was significantly increased in all experimental groups. 3. The prothrombin time was sjgnificantly shortened in high-concentrated Sample-A and Sample-B group as compared with the control group. 4. The activated partial thromboplastin time was significantly shortened in high-concentrated Sample-A group as compared with the control group. 5. The Guizibokryungwhan Herbal-acupuncture has a concentration-dependent effects on the intravascular coagulation.

 Abstract Counts of RBC and proportion of packed cell volume(PCV) showdc no difference among treatment groups. the values of hemoglobin in rat showed a tendeuy to increase in herbal-acupuncture group, however the values of hemoglobin in guineapig and rabbit showed no significant difference in the treatnent groups. the count of WBC showed high in the chishiI(BL52) herbal-acupuncture group. The proprtion of neutrophils showed no significant difference in rabbit, however the values in guinea-pig and rat showed a tendency to increased in herbal-acupuncture groups. The proportion of lymphocytes in rabbit and guinea-pig showed a tendency to decreast in herbal-acupuncture groups, however the values in rat showed no significant difference. The proportion of Eosinophils and monocytes showed no significant difference in all the treated groups. Results from this study indicated that shinsu(BL23) and chishil(BL52) herbal-acupuncture with palmijihwangtang elivate the biglogical function in Rabbit Guinea-pig and Rat.

 Abstract This study was carried out to invastigate the researches of Snake Venom and snakes which used in treatment 1. The fist literature that used the snake for treatment is Shin Nong Ben Cao Jing 2. Composition of Snake Venom is consist of Enzymatic proteins ; Phospholipase A(A1-2), Protease, L-amino acid oxidase etc, and Non-enzymatic proteins ; Crotamine(Cytolysin), Proteolytic factor(Hematoxin), Crotoxin(Neurotoxin) etc. 3. Main toxins in Snake Venom are Hematoxin, Cytolysin, Neurotoxin and Cardiotoxin. Lethal dose 50 value of Agkistrodon brevicaudus is $\small{45.87{\mu}g}$/18g, Agkistrodon saxatilis is $\small{10.28{\mu}g}$/18g, Agkistrodon ussuriensis is $\small{8.68{\mu}g}$/18g, therefore Agkistrodon ussuriensis has strongist Snake Venom of all in Korea. 4. Pharmacological actions of Snake Venom are anticoagulation, thrombolytic function, hypotensor etc. 5. Systemic syndromes and signs after snakebite are Dizziness(25.7%), Vomitting(23.1%), Fever(22%), Visual disturbance(18%), Headache(17.7%) and Dyspnea(17.6%), etc. 6. Local syndrome and sign after snakebite is Discoloration(54.2%), Bleeding(20.2%), Bullae(10.7%), Skinulcer(10.8%), etc. 7. Pathological syndromes after snakebite are WBC increase, Urine protein, Urine sugar, Haematuria and elevation of S-GDT, S-GPT etc. These syndromes are leaded by Hematoxin and Cytolysin. 8. Complication signs after snakebite are Cellulitis, Gastritis, Lympoma, Abscess etc. 9. Common function of Viperidae(Agkistrodon acutus or Zaocys dhumnades etc) is expelling the wind(祛風), removing obstruction in the channels(通絡), antipastic function(止痙). And it is used in order to cure hemiparesis, hemiplegia, facial palsy and CVA disease, etc. 10. Using way of snake for medical treatment is various like Herbal alchol therapy, pill, powder and injection etc. The Study on the Snake Venom should be carried out continuously for using of medical treatment.

 Abstract To investigate effects of Achyranthis Radix herbal-acupuncture on adjuvant arthritis in rats, the edema rate, the number of WBC, the quantity of total protein, albumin and globuline in the blood serum and histological test of the muscular tissue were measured in the arthritis part. 1. After elicitating arthritis of Sprague dawley(SD) rats by injection of Freund's complete adjuvant for 2 weeks, normal saline was injected for the Exp. I group and Achyranthis Radix herbal-acupuncture was injected for the Exp. II group during 30days. Selected point was $\small{D\acute{u}b\acute{i}(ST_{35})}$ in both the groups. And then the volume of the paw were checked. The volume of the paw was $\small{0.84{\pm}0.14mm}$ in the Exp. I group and $\small{0.47{\pm}0.11mm}$ in the Exp.II group, the swelling of the paw was restricted significantly in the Exp. II group(p<0.05). 2. The number of WBC was $\small{10.34{\pm}0.14(10^3/ml)}$ in the normal group and $\small{37.47{\pm}5.46(10^3/ml)}$ in the Exp. I group. It was $\small{21.24{\pm}2.58(10^3/ml)}$ in the Exp. II group. This fact showed that the group Exp. II with Achyranthis Radix herbal-acupuncture was more effective than the Exp. II group in the treatment of arthritis(p<0.05). 3. The content of the total protein in the blood serum was $\small{6.14{\pm}0.43g/dl}$ in the normal group, $\small{7.95{\pm}0.94g/dl}$ in the Exp. I group, and $\small{6.41{\pm}0.68g/dl}$ in the Exp. II group. There was no significance in total protein between the Exp. II group and the Exp. I group from the statistical analysis. 4. The content of albumin in the blood serum was $\small{2.94{\pm}0.13g/dl}$ in the normal group, $\small{2.01{\pm}0.48g/dl}$ in Chang Tong-young the Exp. I group and $\small{3.15{\pm}0.27g/dl}$ in the Exp. II group. This fact showed that the Exp. II group had significant increase in the serum albumin from the statistical analysis compared with the Exp. I group. 5. The content of the globulin in the blood serum was $\small{3.19{\pm}0.48g/dl}$ in the normal group, $\small{4.70{\pm}1.26g/dl}$ in the Exp. I group and $\small{3.26{\pm}0.57g/dl}$ in the Exp. II group. There was no significance in the serum globulin between the Exp. II group and Exp. I group from the statistical analysis. 6. In histological finding, because of severe inflammatory reaction, remarkably irregular tissue and large amount of inflammatory cells were found in the Exp. I group. But the Exp. II group showed small amount of inflammatory cells, the refrained inflammatory state and even recovering state.

 Abstract These studies were carried out to investigate the effect of Herbal-acupuncture with Inzinsammultang extract on the recovery from liver injury of rats. The liver injury of rats induced with 0.3ml/ea carbon tetrachloride. The Herbal-acupunture with Inzinsam multang extract solution inserted into corresponding focus of Kansu(BL18) in rats. In this study, SD-Rats(Sprague-Dawley) were divided into 4 groups ; Normal group (None treated group), Control-group(The group not treated after $\small{CCI_4}$-intoxication), Treated group; Example I-group(Saline-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication) and Example II-group(Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication). Through histological observation, Example II-group sho-ws that liver injury is weaker than Control group.(p<0.05) Biochemical assays for each serum enzyme activities of AST, ALT and LDH, levels of albumin, $\small{{\gamma}}$-GT, TG, total cholesterol were performed. The results were summarized as follows 1. AST(Aspartate aminotransferase) activity in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication. Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication showed significantly higher AST activities, compared with the Saline-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication.(p<0.05) 2. ALT(Alanine aminotransferase) activity in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication. The Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication showed significantly higher AST activities, compared with the Saline-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication(p<0.05) 3. Level of Albumin in serum significantly increased in the Inzinsarnmultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication. 4. LDH(Lactate dehydrogenase) activities in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication.(p<0.05) 5. $\small{{\gamma}}$-GT(Glutamyl transferase) in serum significantly decreased in the Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication(p<0.05) 6. As for the TG(Triglyceride) levels in serum, Inzinsammultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication is no significant differences compared with the Saline-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication.(p<0.05) 7. Total cholesterol in serum significantly increased in the Inzinsarnmultang-injected groups after $\small{CCl_4}$-intoxication.(p<0.05) Those results indicate that the Inzinsammultang Herbal-acupuncture have significant effects on the liver injury induced by $\small{CCl_4}$. So it is expected that the Inzinsammultang Herbal-acupuncture can be used to cure inflammations and recover the functions of damaged liver cells.

It was $\small{20.39{\pm}4.23(10^3/ml)}$ in the Exp. II group. This fact showed that the group Exp. II was more effective than the Exp. I group in the treatment of arthritis(p<0.05) 3. The content of the total protein in the blood serum was $\small{6.14{\pm}0.43g/dl}$ in the normal group, $\small{7.95{\pm}0.94g/dl}$ in the Exp. I group, and $\small{6.38{\pm}1.75g/dl}$ in the Exp. II group. This fact showed that the group Exp. II was more effective than the Exp. I group in the treatment of arthritis(p<0.05) 4. The contents of albumin in the blood serum was $\small{2.94{\pm}0.13g/dl}$ in the normal group, $\small{2.01{\pm}0.48g/dl}$ in the Exp. I group. and $\small{2.71{\pm}0.34g/dl}$ in the Exp. II group. This fact showed that the group Exp. II was more effective than the Exp. I group in the treatment of arthritis(p<0.05) 5. The contents of globulin in the blood serum was $\small{3.19{\pm}0.48g/dl}$ in the normal group, $\small{4.70{\pm}1.26g/dl}$ in the Exp. I group. and $\small{3.67{\pm}0.56g/dl}$ in the Exp. II group. There was no significance in the serum globulin between Exp. II group and Exp. I group from the stastical analysis 6. In histological finding, because of severe inflammatory reaction, remarkably irregular tissue and large amount of inflammatory cells were found in the Exp. I group. But the Exp. II group showed small amount of inflammatory cells, the refrained inflammatory state and even recovering state. From these results, it is showed Taraxaci herbal-acupuncture refrain inflammatory reaction and muscular tissue necrosis in SD rats paw were induced by Freund's complete adjuvant
